Scores Late Model Win on
Dillon Oliver and Skip McCord brought the NASCAR Late Models down for the green flag for the start of their 150 lap feature. McCord pulled out to an early lead, but Allen charged up from his third starting spot and took the lead on lap nineteen. Tony Ussery brought out the first caution of the night for a spin on the back straight away. Allen remained out front on the restart with McCord, Oliver, Michael House and DW Shacklett close behind. Andy Johnson, Mark Day and Michael Driskell were flying through the field from their rear starting positions for some post qualifying inspection issues, and by lap forty-three, the three ran fifth, sixth and seventh.
Michael Ritter brought out the second caution of the night on lap seventy-four for a spin in turn two. Several cars to the chance to visit pit road for a quick tire change during the caution period including Shacklett, Day and Johnson. On the restart, Shacklett and Carter got together entering turn one, sending both cars hard into the outside wall. Luckily both driver walked away unhurt. After a brief red flag period to clean up the track, Allen remained out front with Oliver, House, Driskell and Daniel Pope close behind. On lap one hundred and four Day and Johnson got together entering turn one, sending both cars spinning. Due to time constraints, the race would be restarted with a green, white, checkered finish. Allen held off the field for the final three laps to take the win followed by Oliver, House, Driskell and Pope.
John Earheart pulled out in front at the drop of the green flag for the NASCAR Super Truck forty lap feature with Daniel Victory, Tommy Climer, Bobby Buttrey and Kyle Fletcher right behind him. Victory took over the top position from Earheart on lap seven. Climer battled his way around Victory on lap twenty-three and Terry Hayes followed, but exiting turn four Climer and Hayes got together sending both trucks spinning. When the race got back underway, Victory regained the lead and never looked back, taking the victory. Blake Williams finished second followed by Earheart, Buttrey and Daniel Bolden.
The new track record
holder, Lee Goddard and Michael Crow brought the NASCAR Grand National
Sportsman down to the green flag. Crow jumped out to an
early lead with Goddard, Eddie Taylor, Wayne White and Jeff Belt following.
The top five cars ran nose to tail until lap fifteen when White made
his move around Crow for the lead. White held on to take
the victory followed by Belt,
The always exciting Thunderstox were led down to the green by CJ Adams and Jeremy Newman with Newman taking over the top spot. Newman remained out front until lap eleven when Dale Travis made his way to the lead. The only caution of the race fell on lap fifteen when Stephanie Barnes and Adams got together on the front stretch. Travis remained out front and held on to take the victory followed by Danny Wilkerson, Newman, Ricky Groves and Cory Jones.
The Legend Pro/Master feature was bumper to bumper racing from flag to flag. Tyler Cordell led the way on the drop of the green flag, but Rob Sanders made his way around Cordell on lap three for the lead. David Moyes, Tyler Slayden and James Fowlkes stayed right behind Sanders till the checkered flag fell. Sanders picked up the win in the Pro division followed by Moyes, Fowlkes, Slayden and Cordell. Kenny Summers picked up the win in the Master’s division.

Martin brought the Legend Semi Pro down for the green flag with Martin
jumping out in front. Cody Fernett and Dylan Ames got
together in turn three, bringing out the only caution of the race.
Martin remained out front on the restart, but Timothy Mangrum made a
late race pass around Martin. Mangrum held on to take
the win followed by Martin, Brandon Summers, Fernett and
Chad Finchum led flag to
flag in the Bandolero Young Guns, picking up the win and Mason Massey made a
late race pass around Layne Clifton to pick up the Bandolero Bandits
victory. Sean Hosey and Larua Gentry finished second and
third in the Young Guns while
David Ring and Ricky McIllwain started the 2008 Dwarf Cars season exactly where they left off in 2007, side by side for the win. Ring led the way for the entire fifteen lap feature, but McIllwain made several attempts to get around him. Ring held on to take the win followed by McIllwain, Timothy Lunn, Greg Gresham and Robert Whitley.
Racing continues at the Music City Motorplex Saturday, April 19 with the NASCAR Late Models, NASCAR Grand National Sportsman and the NASCAR Super Truck 100 plus all the quarter mile racing from the ThunderStox, Legends and Dwarfs.
